Halftime Gear

The purpose of Halftime Gear is to make playing sports financially viable for lower-income families by providing them with gear. 

Sports have positive effects on kids: they build teamwork, inspire self-confidence and leadership, and keep them physically healthy. Recently, prices have been increasing at a rate many families can’t afford, particularly for travel or club teams. Additional expenses such as lessons, healthcare, and payment for the use of rinks, courts, and/or fields can also raise the price of playing sports. 

To offset the price of playing sports, our organization aims to collect used equipment from all sports, such as soccer, ice/field hockey, lacrosse, baseball - even individual sports like tennis or archery. 

We accept sports goods through contact-free dropoff (contact us for more information!). After we retrieve the donations, they are quarantined, cleaned, and distributed to those in need.
